Skate 4 studio Full Circle created by Electronic Arts1 minute read

Deran Chung and Cuz Parry rejoin Electronic Arts as creative leads for Skate 4

Skate was originally released in 2007 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and mobile phone platforms. Skate was highly rated and as such the world saw two sequels Skate 2 and Skate 3 as well as Skate It which was a spin-off game for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and iOS.

Since the release of Skate 3 in 2010 Electronic Arts (EA Black Box) have been quiet on the proposal of another game in the franchise, until now. Electronic Arts have now announced the creation of a new studio called Full Circle which will be wholly dedicated to the Skate franchise.

The general manager, Daniel McCulloch, will be overseeing the team. His experience as the former Xbox Live boss will be crucial to this venture.

“We’re all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends. And, we’re looking for more developers to help us build compelling worlds for players to explore.”

As well as creating a new studio Electronic Arts have brought back some of the original Skate franchise creative leads. This includes both key designers Deran Chung and Cuz Parry. Electronic Arts have said that they are “integral to the creation of the franchise and the development of all three original games.”

Currently there is no announcement on a title or a release date.
