Ebracer Group, the Swedish video game holding company, has furthered it acquisitions. It has now bought 100% worth of shares of 4A Games.
The purchase has come as part of a spending spree by Embracer Group. It means 4A Games joins the likes of THQ Nordic and Deep Silver. A $36 million upfront payment has been agreed and a further $35 million in payments is to be made at a later date. Now Embracer group own over 150 franchises and has over 4000 employees in 40 countries.
4A Games is the developer behind Arktika. 1 and the critically acclaimed Metro game series which is based on the works of Dmitry Glukhovsky. The Metro games from 4A Games were previously published by Deep Silver, so the move to acquire was predicted.
