The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was developed under the direction of Ken Rolston who was the lead designer on Morrowind. The developers used personal travel photographs, nature books and other reference photographs during the development stages to create the vast landscapes and architectures.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion features voices from famous names such as Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean and Terence Stamp. The game itself consists of 41 square kilometres of size, where quests, dungeons and ruins were in fact added to fill the surplus space and remove any bland gameplay elements from the title.
