The Immortal, which was published on the Nintendo Switch in 2020, is a game from the mind of Will Harvey and a very early example of an Indie game. The title launched on the Apple IIGS originally, before Mega Drive, Amiga and other platforms received ported versions. The game contains high levels of violence as you play a wizard searching for his mentor in a labyrinth.

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was released 25 years ago on this day

Sometimes it is hard to believe that certain games have reached certain milestones. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is one of those – but what is even scarier is that this was a release of all three NES games into the NES library, so they are older than they even appear here. Here are some of the anniversaries from Monday. What i even more interesting is that on this day Street Fighter: The Movie released on the PlayStation. But shouldn’t it have been called Street Fighter: The Game of The Movie of The Game?

Intelligent Systems developed the Paper Mario games for the Nintendo 64. A game based on two-dimensional proportions that was far from flat!

Wild Guns is an original mix of science fiction and western genres with its take on a shooting gallery-styled game. The game is set in a Steampunk setting with sci-fi influences. The game was created in five months with a team of five people who had previously worked on the classic The Ninja Warriors game for the NES in 1994.

Alter Beast was set in Ancient Greece and became a console phenomenon – according to some at least

Even though Altered Beast was a success on the Mega Drive and Genesis, Mega (magazine) placed this game at number 10 in their worst Mega Drive games ever. Mixed reviews aside it is a popular title with a strong fan-base.

Sakamoto himself admitted that the Alien franchise had an influence on the development of Metroid. Tanak’s music alone is reminiscent of Jerry Goldsmith’s Alien score. Regardless of the influences Metroid has become one of the most popular Nintendo franchises in history and this week reached 33 years since release.
