Editor-in-chief, ring bearer, sword wielder
It was 1989 when Jim started playing video games. Back then a CRT television and 8-bit consoles were the only gaming options available. But man they packed a punch.
Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd (no, not Alex the Kidd) and Zelda were all in their heyday. All these franchises were in their infant years and they all hungered for attention.
Jim’s first experiences with games came in the format of the Sega Master System, shortly followed by the NES.
A few years after a backwards step into the world of the Commodore Amiga really highlighted the magic around gaming. Since this age Jim became a gaming enthusiast and collector.
With accolades to his name such as the previous holder of the World Record for the biggest Microsoft Xbox 360 collection, the world number one ranked player in Alien vs Predator 2 and victor over the third highest ranked player in Europe in Street Fighter V, Jim is a passionate gamer, and lover of all things geeky.
Content creator, the original Naughty Dog
Mike was first introduced to gaming in the late 80’s after playing the Sega Master System II on a black and white TV. His favourite franchises of all time include Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and the Naughty Dog series’ of Uncharted and The Last of Us.
Mike is a huge fan of professional wrestling after growing up as a teenager during the boom period of the late 90’s Attitude era. These days he is more of a fan of the Japanese style known as Puroresu and smaller independent companies seen as more of an counter to the more popular industry leader WWE.
Mike is a Manchester United fan but don’t hold that against him! Musically he is a fan of alt. rock and metal, but is more diverse than you’d give him credit for. He is enjoys anime, mythology, cult movies and anything that goes against the grain of common sensibilities. Mike is proud to be part of Fing’rs & Thu’ums and the journey he is finding himself on.

Content creator, Trekkie extraordinaire, Lego Guru
George Hogan’s passage to nerdom began in 2012, when he saw his very first Marvel movie. Since then, his life has been consumed by comic books, replicas, action figures and anything else nerdy.
Now, eight years later, George has visited several comic conventions and is utterly Lego-obsessed. He owns hundreds of Lego sets – literally! As a Lego enthusiast, he has built many iconic moments from cinematic history including the 1989 Batmobile, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, the Disney Train and Station and of course Hogwarts Castle.
George’s successes haven’t just been in the Lego world, as at the age of 12, he first learned how to build and solder circuits, and earned his radio licence. Through lessons, he is currently learning to code computer programs and one day hopes to create his own video game.
Today George is an amateur gamer and owns a variety of different consoles, but is the best at the classics like Pac-Man and Space Invaders. He also likes the Lego Video Games, which is not surprising bearing in mind his Lego passion. But to be honest, George just loves anything considered ‘nerdy’.
